Publishing Principles
Editorial Policy
Standards for sourcing technical data, defining evidence boundaries, and maintaining corrections.
The Evidence Boundary Standard
To prevent misleading apparel claims, our publications clearly separate two categories of information:
- Documented Listing Facts: Data directly supplied in technical specifications, such as claimed fabric composition percentages, stated gram weights per square meter, zipper brand designations, and published garment dimensions.
- Editorial Interpretation: Our analytical assessments, including recommended operating temperature bands, probable wind resistance, layer sequencing order, and sizing conversion risk advisories.
Source Evaluation
We source specifications directly from primary manufacturer documentation, store technical cut-sheets, and verified dimensional tables. Marketing buzzwords that cannot be tied to measurable yarn counts, membranes, or cut styles are systematically omitted.
Correction Protocols
Apparel specifications change frequently across manufacturing runs. When a vendor updates pad construction, alters a size table, or shifts synthetic blends, we log the correction promptly. Articles are updated with visible revision timestamps whenever technical metrics change.
